Good Monday Morning, Bloggers,
Well, I gained 2 lbs this last week and I seriously doubt I can lose that before tomorrow's weigh in. BUT I am down to 190 and that is 19 lbs less than I weighed in August. My problem is trying to figure out how to deal with diabetes and thyroid problems, yet eat correctly to lose weight when we eat out a lot. This is not easy.
Diabetes requires no white (processed stuff), no wheat (grains all turn to sugar in your body), no dairy (too many chemicals). The thyroid requires no broccoli and other similar foods as it messes with your thyroid meds. Yet I'm suppose to eat fruits and veggies almost exclusively. Only a small amount of meat should be eaten and only seafood or poultry - only small amounts of red meat and seldom. Non only eats meat, potatoes and green beans or salad (lettuce / tomato). Unless we eat out and then it's pretty much a salad buffet or Sonic, Mike's, 5 Guys, or Quizno's. We ate at Izzy's on Friday, Chan's on Saturday, Quizno's and Mike's on Sunday. Today I get to fix a meal here... I think. We went to Whole Foods after church so we weren't home and these places were handy to where we were. I am going to have to change my entire schedule because I've not walked on my treadmill since last week on Wed and it was only for 10 min because I had upset tummy that day. This lifestyle change is not an easy one to manage if you have no schedule for any day of the week. Every day is different, Jo or Mom or Non or the church or my house require certain attention and I have yet to get this thing figured out. Give me time and I'll get it... but then Non will stop working and it will change again. Hopefully he will be able to re-retire before Christmas. I hope so anyway. Off to church meeting...will walk after lunch...I hope.
